2 Healthy Food Recipes

I've been trying to eat healthier lately, mainly because I feel like I need to balance out all the food I ingested during Christmas and Chinese New Year :3. My mom also recently brought home 2 huge jars of plain unsweetened yogurt, which is one of my favourite breakfast foods, so naturally I started to eat healthier. I am no food expert, but here are two of my favourite snacks/breakfast meals!

That is a huge jar, isn't it? I already finished one because it was so good.

The first healthy breakfast idea is a simple fruit parfait!

Ingredients:
-Plain greek yogurt
-Strawberries
-Bananas
-Brownie crumble or granola

Optional:
-other fruits of your choice
-sweetener of your choice

This is so simple I don't think it even requires a recipe! Essentially you just cut up the fruit and place it over the yogurt. I also added a few brownie brittle cookies at the side for extra sweetness. If you like your breakfasts to be a little sweeter, you can add some honey!

This next recipe is one of my personal favourites. I make this after basketball practice, as snacks, or as a light brunch. It contains avocado, which is probably my favourite type of fruit/vegetable to add in a salad.

Ingredients:
-Avocado
-Tomato
-Salad leaves
-Apetina feta cheese pack with olive oil and herbs OR feta cheese with extra virgin olive oil with salt and lemon juice

Optional:
-red onion
-bell peppers

Salads are very versatile--you can honestly add whatever you want inside. I know some people like to add apples into their salads, but I prefer to keep (sweet) fruit out of it (just personal preference). You first start off this recipe by cutting the avocado in half and de-seeding it with the heel of a knife. Be careful! This can be tricky! The easiest way to avoid a stubborn seed is to make sure your avocado is ripe. After you have cut it, score the avocado and scoop it out with a spoon.

I have already washed the lettuce and tomato, and placed it in a clean bowl. Scatter the avocado on top of it.

Pour in the feta cheese and olive oil, then mix well. Viola! An easy and simple snack!

I also had some almond pudding since I had this for brunch :).

I love blogging and eating at the same time <3.

These recipes are honestly so easy to make, so you guys should definitely try it out!

I have so many things to share with you all, but I have yet to type them into concrete posts due to my eye infection a week ago. I promise to catch up with you all soon!

Best,
