Free Spirit ft. Pure Tatts

Remember those temporary tattoos that you begged your parents to give you back in grade school? Well they've made a comeback--big time. Flash tattoos have been a trend for well over a year now, ranging from black to gold to silver, but I have yet to see white ones. Then enter Pure Tatts--a company dedicated to creating intricate, detailed, and totally wearable white temporary tattoos.

Pure Tatts was kind enough to provide me with a sample of their temporary tattoo line, so today I am going to show you guys how to apply them!

I was sent Mantra and Dreamer (click to shop), and out of the two, I have to say I like Mantra more. I has a lot of symbols, and it comes as a two pack, but of course there is a huge array of packs to choose from. Dreamer came as a single pack, containing only one sheet.

I also love the designs of dreamer, especially the bird one featured on the model's chest.

Mantra is a two pack, containing two sheets.

The packaging is very sleek and sturdy, and i think it is made out of hard cardboard. I like how it shows you exactly what is inside as well, so you can decide on what pattern you wish to apply before opening the package.

I think every set contains the heart-shaped Pure Tatts label, which is nice. The cool thing about Pure Tatts is that they donate 10% of its proceeds to Pepper's Kisses, an animal rescue charity centre located in Aruba.

For convenience, they also made the background colour white, as opposed to white, so the designs are more readily visible.

The instructions are printed on the back for easy application.

I decided to place this bracelet piece from the dreamer pack on my upper left arm. Some cool places to place these include your wrist, hand, neck, collarbone, and belly. These can go anywhere!

To apply, rip off the plastic seal and place the tattoo, face down, onto your desired area. Make sure your skin is clean and dry!

Then, simply peel off the backing and you're left with a beautiful tattoo! These last up to 7 days, though they do start to wear and tear around 4 days. My advice is to not wear these if you are doing any sport that will make you completely drenched in sweat; I played basketball in these, and I sweated them off D:.

These also photograph really nicely, and they definitely look good on tan skin.

A little #ootd and outfit inspiration for you guys! I think that these tattoos aren't limited to raves and music festivals--they can definitely be incorporated into daily outfits!

Top: Forever 21
Shorts: Forever 21
Tattoos: Pure Tatts (Mantra)

I absolutely love the look of them with a simple pair of denim shorts and a cropped top. If you don't want to show off your midriff, feel free to wear high waisted shorts!

I've been wearing these a lot these days, and I think it is a must-have during the summer break! They serve as an accessory and just spices things up.

If you guys want to get some of your own, head over to PureTatt's website and get your own! I think they have expanded to black temporary tattoos as well as jewellery!
